Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical packages on the data centre project
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for M&E works
  • Conduct measurement and valuation of works, including progress assessments and subcontractor applications
  • Support procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier negotiations
  • Monitor and report on cost variations, ensuring financial control of M&E elements within the project
  • Assist in the preparation and agreement of interim and final accounts
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure cost efficiency's and compliance with contract terms
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives
  • Contribute to the identification and mitigation of commercial risks
  • Ensure timely submission of claims, variations, and commercial reports
  • Support the senior quantity surveyor and commercial team with cost reporting and financial analysis
  • Maintain detailed records of contractual and financial documentation


Qualifications:

  • Degree in quantity surveying, construction economics, or a related field
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in M&E quantity surveying, preferably in data centre or similar large-scale construction projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within a construction environment
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Excel
  • Knowledge of contract conditions and procurement processes
  • Ability to interpret and manage contracts, particularly NEC or FIDIC agreements
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for liaising with stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented approach with excellent record-keeping and financial reporting abilities
  • Willingness to travel and work on projects across Europe
