About the Role
We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our operations team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This is a practical, hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in building, inspecting, and testing electro-mechanical assemblies. The role involves working from technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs) to ensure assemblies meet strict quality and functionality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble small electro-mechanical components in accordance with technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Carry out assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing and lubrication.
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
  • Connect cables and wires according to technical specifications.
  • Conduct thorough tests and inspections to identify and resolve any product issues.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used in the assembly process.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S activities to enhance production efficiency and quality.


Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Previous experience assembling components such as fans, motors and heaters.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly is desirable.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Confident using small hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Fine soldering skills for small components (advantageous).
  • Good time management skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a professional attitude.
  • Basic IT skills.


Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK - please note we are unable to accept spousal visas.
  • Candidates must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Must undergo BPSS clearance
