We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer/Manager to oversee and manage the delivery of a £10 million electrical package on a high-profile project.
This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the electrical contracting industry, specifically within life sciences or data center environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering a technically complex scope, working closely with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the full lifecycle of a £10M electrical package, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

  • Manage coordination between client design teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers

  • Review IFC drawings and technical specifications to ensure full understanding of scope

  • Lead the transformation of design into coordinated installation drawings via BIM processes

  • Ensure engineering deliverables support the construction schedule, including procurement planning

  • Prepare and track technical submittals, manage RFIs, and liaise with vendors for technical support and value engineering

  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including take-offs, lead times, and delivery schedules

  • Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring installations meet project specifications and benchmarking standards

  • Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with project procedures and safety requirements

  • Support the development and closure of work packs and handover documentation

  • Coordinate BIM priorities such as isometric drawing generation and release

  • Provide technical guidance to site teams during installation and commissioning phases

  • Liaise with client teams and contribute to project reporting and communication with senior stakeholders

  • Assist in the preparation of tender packages for subcontractors and suppliers

Candidate Requirements:


  • 10+ years' experience with a recognised electrical contractor

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale electrical packages, ideally in life sciences or data center projects

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, specifications, and construction processes

  • Excellent project planning, coordination, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in BIM, Navisworks, and project planning software (e.g., Primavera)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
