Job Title: Customs Master Data Lead
Salary: Circa £45,000 dependent on experience
Location: Bolton or Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Customs Master Data Lead to join our team.
Tariff classification; customs valuation and country of origin are the three pillars of Customs Compliance. A dedicated resource is required to ensure that these critical elements are correct on every Customs entry that is done and that the information to support is collated and retained in a structured manner.
- You will help us to review existing Customs Master Data and maintain its accuracy by keeping up to date with customs regulation changes
- Provide support in relation to the data required for SAP GTS
- Drive the use of classification, country of origin and customs valuation standard operating procedures
- Support the Head of Customs Technology and Systems in completing a data cleanse and migrating this data into SAP
- Design a process for assessing and recording correct Customs Master data, and build a system for supporting documentation
- Support business projects with classification of new projects to facilitate the creation of new licences and ensure current licences are compliant
- Provide training and guidance to Customs Operations team in relation to Customs Master data

What we're looking for from you:
- A proven track record in customs/trade compliance. From a professional services company, HMRC or a similar role within a corporate environment.
- Extensive knowledge of HMRC customs regulations in respect of tariff classification, country of origin and customs valuation requirements.
- Someone with a high level of integrity and attention to detail, who can work independently and has excellent communication and reporting skills
- Experience with customs software systems is an advantage.
- A person who holds, or is studying towards, a professional qualification in Customs Compliance or related field is preferred.
