CNC Machinist

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled CNC machinist to join a precision manufacturing team. The role involves machining, deburring, and sub-assembly of components to high standards of quality and accuracy, within set timescales and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate CNC machinery including mills, lathes, drills, bandsaws, and more
• 
  Set up machines and carry out accurate machining tasks
• 
  Perform calculations for layout and machining (e.g. angles, radii, bores, tapers)
• 
  Use hand tools and measuring equipment for assembly and inspection
• 
  Maintain accurate records and support a clean and safe working environment
• 
  Support continuous improvement activities (5S, lean, kaizen)
• 
  Train and guide colleagues where applicable
• 
  Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines

What We're Looking For:

  Strong background in precision manufacturing or engineering
• 
  Confident working independently or as part of a team
• 
  Capable of identifying issues with documentation or materials and taking appropriate action
• 
  Positive attitude towards lean practices and continuous improvement
• 
  Good attendance and timekeeping
