Job Title: SiGe Coordinator (SiGeKo) - Offshore Wind Projects
Location: Emden, Germany (with regular travel across Europe and offshore)
Schedule: Monday-Friday standard working hours. Flexibility to work on a 14/14 offshore rotation may be required for short periods.
Language Requirement: Fluency in German is essential.
Role Summary:
A qualified and experienced SiGe Coordinator (SiGeKo) is required to support two offshore wind projects based in Germany. The role will be based out of the construction office in Emden and involves coordination, planning, and oversight of health and safety activities both onshore and offshore during the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform duties in accordance with §3(2) and §3(3) of the Baustellenverordnung (BaustellV), including but not limited to:
Coordinating safety and health measures during both the planning and execution phases.
Identifying safety and health interactions between various site activities.
Recommending actions to eliminate or mitigate safety risks.
Developing, updating, and ensuring implementation of the Health and Safety Plan.
Advising on HSE matters during design and construction.
Organising joint safety activities, such as site safety meetings and inspections, with proper documentation.
Coordinating monitoring efforts of safe working practices among contractors.
Ensuring adherence to site regulations and equipment planning to prevent mutual hazards.
Supporting the Project QHSE Manager as needed.
Additional Tasks Include (but are not limited to):
Assisting with readiness preparations for onshore construction following contractor award.
Participating in project kick-off planning and contractor reviews (HSE Plan, Emergency Response Plan, RAMS, etc.).
Supporting surveillance and safety monitoring of both onshore and offshore construction sites.
Assisting the Site HSE Management in developing site-specific HSE documentation and plans.
Attending relevant safety and project meetings (e.g., Safety Days, HAZIDs, ROC Drills).
Communicating updates and implications of changes in German HSE legislation to the project team.
Conducting trend analysis of HSE metrics and ensuring corrective actions are implemented accordingly.
Supporting regular engagement with German regulatory authorities as directed by the Project QHSE Manager.
If required, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the QHSE Advisor team.
