About the Role

We are seeking a Coil Winding Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with electro-mechanical assembly experience, working on the production of high-quality components. You will be responsible for assembling and testing electric rotors, stators, armatures, and related components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wind and assemble wire coils for electric rotors, stators, armatures and related components.
  • Follow engineering drawings, work instructions and inspection requirements.
  • Perform mechanical reliability tests (core loss, hi-pot, phase balance, etc.).
  • Inspect products for re-work or repairs.
  • Use soldering equipment for thru-hole, surface mount or hard soldering.
  • Measure part dimensions and clearances with precision instruments.
  • Operate required hand tools and machinery for assembly.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and complete documentation.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities.
  • Adhere to manufacturing procedures and meet production targets.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks, including colleague training and departmental support.

Requirements

  • Experience in electro-mechanical winding, stacking & loading.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Proficiency in soldering and assembling small components.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to read, write, and understand English.

Additional Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
  • Ability to provide a minimum of 3 years' employment history.
  • Will be subject to a CRB check and address verification.
