Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

As the Principal Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the focal point for the discipline, offering support across various business and client streams spanning Hydrogen, Decarbonisation, Oil and Gas, and Renewables.
  • Executing engineering tasks ranging from Conceptualization to Detailed Design, demonstrating proficiency in assessing and improving working practices and systems to enhance personal and team performance.
  • Ensuring work is conducted in compliance with our client's and project-specific Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Participating in estimating and scheduling activities, providing technical guidance to junior team members as needed.

Location: Choose between Aberdeen or Glasgow, with a hybrid working model allowing for three days in the office and flexibility to work from home for two days.

Candidate Profile:

Experience in:

  • EPC, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects.
  • Estimating, Client-facing experience, and negotiation skills.
  • Offshore platforms (Fixed or floating) and drilling operations, preferably in Brownfield projects.
  • Budget management, scope of work creation, and project objective setting.
  • Creating and maintaining Piping MDR, implementing cost controls, and monitoring team performance.
  • Piping corrosion and erosion, material standards, Mechanical testing, NDE, and material certification.
  • Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status preferred.
  • Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking.
  • Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Design products and MS Office applications.
  • Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (advantageous).
