HV Battery Design Engineer

We are looking for a HV Battery Design Engineer for a Formula 1 Power Unit Manufacturer

Your Tasks:

As an HV Battery Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge energy storage systems for the Audi Formula 1 Power Unit. Your responsibilities will include:

• Crafting Energy Storage (ES) concepts that push the boundaries of FIA F1 technical regulations for maximum performance.
• Designing electrical components of the battery junction box with a focus on package, safety, and performance, utilizing 3D design tools such as Catia V5.
• Leading the charge in implementing production and assembly technologies for optimal performance.
• Driving the development and testing of ES components and the entire high-voltage (HV) battery system to its limits.

Your Profile:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing HV batteries and their safety functions.
• Expertise in Catia V5 for high-voltage battery and battery junction box design.
• Experience in component development within the HV path.
• Strong background in testing and analysis of HV components/systems.
• Certification as a qualified electrician and experience working under HV voltage is a plus.
• Fluent proficiency in English, with a willingness to learn German
• Implementation strength, high motivation, and initiative.
• Exceptional teamwork skills, goal-oriented and an independent, structured work approach.
