Our client is on the lookout for a Software Engineer to become an integral part of their Maritime Communications design and development team.

The core responsibility of this Software Engineer position is to proficiently translate intricate software requirements into innovative and effective software design solutions. This role offers a unique and challenging avenue for a skilled professional like yourself to contribute significantly to the clients cutting-edge projects.

Software Engineer Responsibilities;

In-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of software design and development.

Proficient in various high-level programming languages including C++, C, and Java

Experience with embedded and desktop operating systems including Linux, Windows etc.

Previous use of Visual Studio and Enterprise Architect would be advantageous.

Can evaluate, mitigate and manage software engineering risks across projects for which you will be directly/indirectly responsible.

You will:

· Software design, development and review (from concept to final product) for a range of systems from small embedded single processors through to multi-processor networked systems.

· Work with systems and hardware engineers to develop multi-discipline solutions, including the definition of software/hardware and software/firmware interfaces.

· Meet technical requirements through all phases of design, integration and leading to customer acceptance

· Undertake the duties of a Software lead where additional support may be required on projects, bids and product development activities

Data Analysis experience OR Sonar/Acoustic Data Analysis experience/understanding

Strong relevant experience in C++ (3-4 years)

Experience understanding and using Defence Systems and Gateways

Experience creating design documentation

Ability to understand Linux

Ability to obtain higher UK Security Clearance will be required for this position.
