Due to an increased workload, an exciting opportunity has arisen within component engineering for a specialist to technically lead the selection of electronic components used in products. This will involve using technical electronic expertise to ensure suitable components are selected within products.

Benefits:

  • Salary of up to £55,000
  • 37-hour week + paid overtime
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holiday (option to buy additional 5 days) + ability to accrue more through overtime

The Opportunity:

  • Take responsibility for the selection of components within products across the business
  • Research new components and technologies for the future
  • Maintain your knowledge in specialist areas, ensuring that it is effectively passed to others
  • Participate in design reviews, training and development activities to maintain the company's technological capabilities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to define best practice and manage the adoption and adherence of methodologies on an international scale

Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge and experience with electronic components
  • Ability to test and diagnose Digital and Analogue components at component level
  • Experience of component level failure analysis
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate regular face to face communication with all relevant partners
  • The ability to write clear and concise engineering documentation
