We are seeking a Battery System Engineer for new product development to join our innovative team. This role is instrumental in developing cutting-edge battery systems that power the next generation of vehicles.

Your Role:

As a Battery System Engineer, you will be part of a skilled team focused on battery system architecture, concept development, and system engineering. This position is centered on engineering the future of battery systems, ensuring the balance of attributes, adherence to requirements, conducting SFMEA, and coordinating various tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the architecture of new battery products, considering factors such as scalability, voltage windows, cell chemistry, size, and high voltage architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with propulsion architects, the software department, and battery cell engineers to ensure cohesive activity coordination.
  • Assist design teams in optimizing battery designs for the best attribute balance, including energy, performance, fast charging, sustainability, safety, and thermal properties.
  • Analyze CAE & Test results, perform root cause analyses of failed tests, and support the development of test specifications.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in automotive or similar product development, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in battery design, system engineering, or architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in the responsibilities listed above.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
