Promoting STEM

MANE is determined to both raise the profile of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) sector as well as tackle the imbalance in equality and diversity across it.

We firstly promote STEM centred careers throughout the working population, as well as working to address the small number of women and minority groups who currently work in the sector.

There is a skills shortage which can only be addressed if we encourage more people to enter the industry and tap into the potential of women and minority groups.

We partner with several organisations who engage with schools, colleges and young people, as well as having established our own outreach project.  This is designed to get people to embrace the opportunities a STEM career can give you.

Whilst we are clear that the impact won’t be felt tomorrow, we strongly believe that we are future proofing the industry.
