Job title: SHEET METAL WORKER
Location: New Milton
Pay: £17 - £20ph (£32,000 - £38,000) + Overtime

We are working with an established Aerospace manufacturer who has been going for more than 50 years, now and they are seeking experience Sheet Metal Workers to join their busy workshop.

Job duties included but not limited to:

  • Work in accordance with all company health and safety procedures.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products.
  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines and hand tools to cut, bend and straighten.
  • Shaping over anvils, blocks or forms.
  • Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seems and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces.
  • Support in training of employees as required.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Education, Training & Experience - Apprenticeship and/or experience working in Sheet metal fabrication for the Aerospace industry. Specific training may be provided as required.

Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and techniques for maximising the effective manufacture of goods.

Customer Satisfaction - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer satisfaction. This includes meeting quality standards for services and understanding of customer requirements.

Communication - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words and grammar.

Qualities and Attributes - Willingness to work as part of a team and using own initiative. Ability to apply personal discipline to adhere to role requirements and accepted standards. Ability to use data to assist in decision making. Absolute pride in the workplace. Exemplary level of attendance and timekeeping.

  • Full time Standard Working week is 37 hours (Mon-Thurs 7:45 - 16:15, Fri 7:45 - 12:45)
