Senior PCBA Engineer

Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE

Location: Bolton

An exciting new opportunity has become available within the Manufacturing Engineering function for a Senior PCBA Engineer to join the rapidly growing CCA/PCBA team with a predicted output due to triple in the next 5 years.

The Senior PCBA is responsible for various technical aspects of CCA/PCBA. This will involve working on continuous improvement activities, representing the manufacturing team at various technical forums and solve technical problems. The nature of our clients' products will give you the opportunity to work with the assembly of complex circuit cards in a high mix/low volume environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 with formal further education certificate to HND or equivalent in relevant subject OR
  • BEng/BSc in relevant Engineering/Technical Degree

Experience:

  • Experience in Circuit Card Manufacturing or Design
  • Knowledge of CCA/PCBA Processes and Technologies

Additional knowledge (desired not essential):

  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to process improvements
  • Proficient in computer and internet use, including proficiency in commonly used applications such as Microsoft Office Suite & manufacturing systems such as: ERP systems, Manufacturing Execution System etc.
  • Training in IPC J Std-001 and IPC-610
  • Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge and its prevention
