Mane Energy are looking for Senior HSE Consultant to work on long term contract with major turbine manufacturer on the civil site in Scotland
Location: South Scotland
Work Schedule: 3 days per week

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated EHS Leader to oversee and manage the environmental, health, and safety aspects within a project for our business line. This role involves supporting project execution from civil work through to the end of commissioning activities in the GRID business.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact for the business line in the project. Report to both the Regional EHS Leader and the Global EHS Business Line Leader.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on regulatory changes and trends, anticipating their impact on the business.
- Implementation of EHS Standards: Ensure clients' and regulatory EHS expectations are met in all project activities, including customer sites and workshops.
- Regional Support: Assist the Regional EHS Leader in addressing EHS matters.
- Operational Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with operational teams to promote EHS performance and culture.
- Data Consolidation: Compile and manage project data for the business line.
- EHS Coordination: Establish EHS operating rhythms, such as accident calls and EHS reviews.
- Training Management: Coordinate and deliver required EHS training.
- Incident Investigation: Work with Business Line EHS Leaders to investigate and report incidents.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate internal and external EHS reporting.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with clients' standards and legal requirements.
- Audit Programs: Implement audit programs to identify and address EHS hazards and liabilities.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in engineering, environmental science, safety management, or a related EHS discipline from an accredited institution is required. A graduate degree and country EHS accreditation are preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in EHS program development and leadership, particularly within the electric power or industrial sector. SPEN Authorizations are desirable.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of major environmental regulatory and permitting programs, including air and water quality, hazardous chemical management, and industrial safety.
- Skills: Proficiency in fundamental health & safety programs (Lockout-Tagout-Try, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, etc.). Strong consulting skills to influence and motivate teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret technical reports and regulatory documents.
- Certification: Professional certification in safety management, environmental management, industrial hygiene, or engineering from a recognized organization is preferred.
- Personal Attributes: High energy, motivation, and a commitment to taking ownership of issues and driving them to successful outcomes.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Team Management: Ability to manage and develop personnel in remote locations and work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
