About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and methodical Production Technician to join our new team based at a soon-to-open facility in Tewkesbury.

You will work within a manufacturing environment producing low-volume, high-quality specialised products. This role requires a strong team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the highest quality standards. You will be resourceful, determined, and customer-focused while contributing to business success.

This role is subject to Security Clearance. Factors such as nationality, previous nationalities, and place of birth may affect your eligibility.

Please note: Successful candidates may be required to complete their training at the Reddich site prior to the opening of the Tewkesbury site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electrical and computer-based components, products, and systems.
  • Interpret and work from technical documentation and drawings.
  • Communicate technical issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of components and products.
  • Maintain accurate records of work and processes.
  • Undertake additional duties as required across various business areas.

Key Competencies

  • Understanding of computer hardware components.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and applications.
  • High level of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to diligently follow build processes and assembly instructions to achieve quality and consistency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge across a wide range of products.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change with a positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks involving manual handling.

Useful Additional Experience (Advantageous)

  • Experience with cable assembly, harnessing, and looms.
  • Soldering experience to J-STD standards.
  • Knowledge or certification in IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards.
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly and associated standards.
