FPGA Lead Designer
Location: Stevenage (Relocation Package available)
Work Arrangement: Flexible approach to onsite and remote working, typically 2-3 days a week on site
Salary: Up to £80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead FPGA Design Teams:
    • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • FPGA Design and Implementation:
    • Develop complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL, Simulink, and other tools.
    • Target designs for Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices.
  • Verification and Testing:
    • Verify FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM test-bench methodologies.
    • Utilize Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim) for testing.
  • Software Integration:
    • Create low-level software (C) to facilitate FPGA testing and integration with embedded systems.
  • Documentation and Configuration:
    • Configure and document designs to professional standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.


What We're Looking for From You:

  • Proven experience leading FPGA design teams on complex projects.
  • Strong desire to drive collaboration and ensure successful delivery.
  • Extensive experience in generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL, Simulink, etc., targeting Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices.
  • Proficiency in verifying complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM test-bench methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim).
  • Ability to generate low-level software (C) to facilitate FPGA test and integration with the wider embedded system.
  • Excellent ability to configure and document designs to a high professional standard.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance. To achieve this, you must hold British or dual nationality.
