Mane are looking for a Designated Electrical Engineer to work with them on sustainable solutions across Rail, Highways, Power, and Tunnels.
As a Designated Electrical Engineer (DEE) you will take operational responsibility for all electrical standards and safety matters. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe system of work, overseeing authorisations, and enforcing compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation and auditing the companies Electrical Safety Rules
- Oversight of Senior Authorised Persons and Authorised Persons
- Planning and conducting monthly electrical safety audits
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards
- Managing electrical safety records and audit schedules
- Coordinating investigations of electrical incidents
- Facilitating HV and LV training sessions
- Recommending specialist PPE and overseeing its use
- Developing and delivering training packages
- Promoting a culture of openness, trust, and innovation
- Assisting with subcontractor reviews
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards
- Familiarity with HV and LV systems
- Ability to accurately assess electrical risks and review RAMS
- Experience with Electrical Safety Management Systems (ESMS)
- Proficiency in Permit-to-Work processes and LOTO requirements
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with incident recording systems and documentation
- Knowledge of 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or ability to achieve this
- Low Voltage Authorised Person Training with LV Switching certification
- SMSS Certification
- HSE training, NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- CSCS Card - AQP or PQP min.
This role involves travel to project locations, so flexibility is essential.
