Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all electrical construction activities on-site to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within scope and to the required quality standards
- Act as the main point of contact between the site team and the project management team, ensuring clear communication of goals, progress, and issues
- Supervise and manage subcontractors and direct labour involved in the electrical scope of work
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and project-specific protocols
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and construction schedules
- Monitor and report on progress, risks, quality, and cost against project plans
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and interface with other trades and disciplines on-site
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory to avoid delays
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes
- Identify and resolve issues or clashes during construction activities proactively
Qualification
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role on large-scale construction projects, preferably within the data centre or mission-critical sector
- Proven track record managing electrical packages with an M&E subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems installation, commissioning, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality control procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Aconex, or similar) is an advantage
- Willingness to work on-site full-time and travel if required
