Key Responsibilities

  • Develop commissioning plans and schedules in collaboration with project management, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Prepare and maintain all commissioning documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials required for commissioning activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance to achieve project goals.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure commissioning activities align with project specifications and standards.
  • Identify and address risks related to commissioning activities, such as scheduling delays or technical challenges.
  • Oversee the execution of functional testing, performance testing, and validation to confirm system and equipment functionality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the commissioning phase, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Prepare detailed commissioning reports summarising testing results and findings.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and codes throughout the commissioning process.
  • Promote a safety-first culture on-site by adhering to and enforcing safety protocols during all commissioning activities.
  • Provide ongoing support to operations and maintenance teams as required following project handover.

Qualification

  • Degree or Trade qualified in Electrical discipline.
  • Commissioning certification would be desirable.
  • Excellent IT Skills in MS Office Suite and BIM 360 would be an advantage
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role at management level
  • Detailed knowledge of the Electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of various testing procedures, methodologies, and tools used in the commissioning process.
  • Skills in troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving issues encountered during commissioning phase.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the commissioning activities.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports, manuals, and documentation for handover to operations team.
