Mane energy are currently working with a service provider to the offshore wind industryand they are looking for a CTV Master to join them on a contractual basis in Denmark.

Duration: 6 Months with possible extensions

Rotation: 14/14

Start Dates: Circa 21st June

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the vessel including safe navigation and seaworthiness
  • Ensure that all shipboard operations are conducted in line with the company Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Ensure the vessel remains compliant with flag state, code, class and client requirements
  • Have a comprehensive applied knowledge of the 'Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers ' (COSWP), 'Marine Pollution Regulations' (MARPOL), Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the 'Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea' (COLREGS)
  • Adhere to and motivate the crew in the observation to the company health, safety and environmental protection policies
  • Co-operate and support: vessel inspections, management visits, in-surveys and audits
  • Ensure the vessel is maintained in accordance with the planned maintenance system (PMS)
  • Effectively manage vessel defects working closely with the Assigned Superintendent in order to ensure that appropriate action is taken in order to minimise the impact on operations
  • Actively engage in training and development requirements including annual Performance Review & Competence Assessment(s) (P.R.C.A.) as per IMS
  • Ensure that crew certification and contracts are located onboard and are kept up to date reporting any concerns or missing documents to the resources team
  • Pro-actively engage with the client in supporting their operations
  • Complete Master's review of the IMS in line with requirements and assist in its continual improvement
  • Demonstrate good assertive leadership, communication skills and situational awareness
  • Promote a positive attitude towards work and personnel at all times, creating a good safe working environment
  • Ensure that appropriate orders and instruction are clear and in simple manner to ensure understanding by the receiving party
  • Ensure the company uniform & PPE policy is adhered to at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Master aboard a vessel, ideally a CTV
  • Master 200GT/UK FSE
