MANE are currentl recruiting for a Pressure Test and Clean Room Technician for our Aerospace client based in Bedfordshire.
As a Pressure Test and Clean Room Technician, reporting to the Production Team Lead, you will be responsible for post-assembly cleaning, part marking operations, and pressure/vacuum testing. This role involves operating large ultrasonic tanks, safely handling cleanroom and part marking chemicals, and performing high-pressure and vacuum tests.
Core Responsibilities
- Component Cleaning: Clean product components according to detailed written specifications and drawings.
- Quality Inspections: Perform quality inspections on all products, including endoscopic inspections where required.
- Test Recording: Accurately record all tests against the required parameters, with a strong attention to detail.
- Pressure Testing: Conduct pressure testing on aerospace ducting.
- Testing Techniques: Utilize helium leak vacuum, air under water, and hydraulic pressure testing techniques.
- General Testing: Perform general testing across a wide range of products.
- Issue Resolution: Communicate issues to team leads and collaborate on solutions.
- Packaging: Wrap and pack Cleanroom goods according to standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanroom equipment and cranes.
- Housekeeping: Ensure a high standard of housekeeping within your area.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to Health & Safety policies, considering the duty of care for yourself and others.
- Flexibility: Adapt to a continuously changing production environment.
- Attendance: Maintain attendance and timekeeping in line with company standards.
Role Specifications
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Adherence to company guidelines, processes, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in following verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to assist with overtime when required.
Desirable:
- Previous manufacturing experience, ideally in aerospace.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Prior experience in cleanroom operations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Shift Pattern:
- 4-day workweek: Monday to Thursday 15:45 or 07:00 - 16:45.
- Occasional late shift rotation: Monday to Thursday, 12:15 - 22:00.
