This is a unique opportunity for experienced test equipment engineers to work across the product life cycle, using their knowledge in a system management role. This role will involve determining project test equipment needs, handling those requirements and leading development through delivery and into service.

The Opportunity:

  • Act as point of contact for project test equipment, reporting into the Chief Design Engineer
  • Work on test equipment strategy including commonality, equipment quantities and types
  • Lead design trades and the overall delivery from internal design teams, having a hand on delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Work on the test architecture of missiles, specifying and analysing build in testing, and specifying the projection testing requirements
  • Gain experience across the full breadth of a project, including in service support

Requirements:

  • Someone with the ability to influence partners across the business with a strive to succeed
  • Substantial experience of test, electrical or electronic engineering with experience in some of the following:
    • Digital electronics and microprocessor systems
    • Analogue electronics
    • Electronics testing
    • Test equipment design
  • A good understanding of
    • Requirements capture
    • Project management and planning
    • Client management
