Logistics Supervisor

This highly successful market leading Engineering company have a brand-new position for a Logistics Supervisor based in Birmingham. As a Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering excellent service through an efficient and cost-effective logistics department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 10 drivers, across 40 routes
• Ensure vehicle and driver compliance
• Investigate, analyse and implement corrective actions to resolve all manner of logistic problems such as inefficient supply and distribution routes, quality of service and customer losses
• Ensure drivers deliver excellent customer service at client sites
• Set KPIs, develop and work to functional budgets with Logistics Manager
• Take charge of the department's staff, overseeing their schedules, leaves, disciplinary, Health and Safety Training, driver assessments etc.
• Reduce environmental impacts e.g. selecting optimal routes, reducing emissions per mile
• Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
