Your Responsiblities will be:

  • Leveraging your robust background in MEP design, you'll take charge of managing the suite of Building Design Guides, ensuring periodic review and updates.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate standardized engineering solutions into project development.
  • Evaluate proposed deviations from the design guides and provide recommendations.
  • Develop budgets for major maintenance and lifecycle planning of the estate.
  • Offer expertise on the condition of the estate, conducting ongoing detailed assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
  • Collaborate with FM site operations managers to prioritize tasks based on business objectives and building conditions.
  • Lead the transition towards a proactive approach to asset management aligned with ISO55001 principles.
  • Act as the representative for the FM Operations team, overseeing the implementation of any new installations.

We are looking for the following expereince

  • Demonstrated expertise in Building Services Engineering, specifically focusing on Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proven track record in crafting scope of works and performance specifications for both planned maintenance and Capital works packages.
  • Familiarity with asset management principles, including ISO550001.
  • Efficient implementation of standardised engineering solutions.
  • Experience in assessing and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
  • Capability to serve as a Senior Authorising Person, entrusted with the responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • While not essential, being a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of CIBSE would be advantageous.
