FUNDRAISING
Mane Contract Services has raised over £24,000.00 in charity donations since 2006, targeting funds towards local charities as well as a number of national fundraising initiatives.

National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children
Children in Need
Highlights of our fundraising work include:
NSPCC
The NSPCC is a national charity with a local focus, so as a partner we are able to make a positive impact on our local community. The NSPCC’s purpose is to prevent cruelty to children - a cause close to the heart of many people. The Society relies on the general public for more than 85 percent of its funding.
For each Customer Satisfaction survey returned by one of our customers a donation of £5.00 is given to the NSPCC. As we strive to increase the amount of feedback we receive from our customers to improve the service we provide, we are in turn increasing the amount of money we donate to this worthy cause.
We have chosen to raise further funds for the NSPCC at some of the events we have held throughout the year, including a Skydive completed by some of our employees and a raffle at the Company's annual client Golf Day.
The Peace Hospice
Supporting the terminally ill and those with life-limiting illnesses, The Peace Hospice is a Watford-based charity that provides an exceptional range of hospice, outpatient and bereavement services.
Some of Mane’s female employees have personally chosen to participate in the annual Starlight Walk. The Company has supported the fundraising activities involved in raising sponsorship for the 13-mile walk, and the ladies are taking part for a second time in June 2011!

Sense
The ‘Mane Men’ are taking part in the 52-mile Ridge Walk challenge in aid of Sense. The 24 hour event is on Saturday 14th May 2011. They will begin close to Ivinghoe Beacon and the route will take them along the Ridgeway National Trail into the North Wessex Downs.
The Mane Men are Kenny Burton (Captain), Luigi Pacelli (Vice Captain), Richard Thompson & Richard Hall.
By taking up this Ridge Walk challenge, the Mane Men have pledged to raise £1800 supporting the work of Sense. Money raised from the challenge will be used to ensure that children and adults that are deafblind have access to the very best care.

BBC Children in Need
We have undertaken a range of fundraising initiatives for the BBC's Children in Need charity. In support of the annual telethon, we’ve held a dress-down day, a quiz night and a ‘guess the baby’ competition.
Poppy Appeal
Mane supports the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.
The Royal British Legion provides welfare to the whole Armed Forces family - serving, ex-Service and their dependants.
Red Nose Day
We also continue to support Red Nose Day, which over the years has included a fancy dress day, charity raffles and putting our managers ‘in the stocks’ – all in aid of a very worthy cause!
Personal Initiatives
In addition to Mane’s collective staff fundraising activities, we also support the initiatives of individual staff members. These cover a range of local and national charitable organisations.
Our Rail Compliance Officer, Baz Dolling, will take part in this years’ London to Brighton Bike Ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation. To make a donation please visit www.justgiving.com/baz.
